Do you fancy yourself as a femme fatale? Are you ready to unleash your inner goddess? Prepare yourself for a day of fun, thrills and feathers at the North East premire burlesque workshop!. Our workshop will introduce you to the decadent world that is burlesque. It is an intensive burlesque workshop for women of all ages, shapes and sizes, who want a little glamour in their lives.

You will learn about the history of burlesque, be given tips on creating your burlesque look, from hair and make-up to creating stage costumes. We will help you choose a stage name and create a stage persona. You will get the opportunity to have a rummage in our dressing up box and create a costume of your own for the day. You will be shown how to pose and taught the basics of "peeling," and "twirling" leading to the best part of the day were we will help you put a routine together and the whole class will put on a burlesque show, all the while sipping on a chilled glass of bubbly.

Tickets cost £60 and this includes one free ticket to our next show which is worth £10.

Workshops can be catered to your own needs. It can be a great hen night alternative to pole dancing or bar crawls! So if you fancy throwing a burlesque birthday party or having a hen night with a difference, get in touch!

October 2008 beginners Workshop - Newcastle, North East.

We are holding our next workshop on the 18th of October in the Theatre Royal in Newcastle - North East. It will be a full day of thrills, fun, and tassel twirling.

The workshop runs between 10am and 5pm on Saturday the 18th of October. In this class you will learn about the history of burlesque, hair and make up techniques, different posses, peeling techniques and tassel twirling! Just about everything you need to get you on your budding burlesque way!
